Delivering a complete in-house service

The excellent facilities at our modern hospital in St Helens, coupled with the vast experience across our local teams, mean that we can offer a full range of services to our patients and clients, including orthopaedics, internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, dermatology, soft tissue surgery and advanced imaging.

Our team also has access to the latest equipment and facilities, such as our onsite CT and MRI scanners, fully equipped surgical suites and dedicated spaces for rehabilitation and physiotherapy.

We are currently recruiting for:

Veterinary Surgeon 

We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon (full or part time, we are open to discussion)

Our tier 3 hospital is a training practice which is fully equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, various scopes, dental radiography, CO2 laser, laparoscopic equipment, 64 slice CT scanner and a 1.5T MRI scanner.

We are located close to the major cities of Liverpool and Manchester with great airport links. We are also close the beautiful countryside of Wales and the Lakes. We have a close relationship with the referral side of the practice.

You must be client and patient care focused with an interest in working your cases up to a high standard alongside a brilliant team. Individual progression is encouraged.

Great package including 5 weeks holiday, VDS, RCVS and BSAVA or BVA paid. Salary commensurate with experience. A great staff pet discount scheme and other fabulous benefits including maternity/paternity/sickness pay, great CPD allowance and weekly treats.

Part-Time Out of Hours Nurse

We are currently recruiting for:

Part Time OOH RVN 2 Fridays in 3

The practice

Rutland House is a very busy, RCVS accredited first opinion and referral practice with a large team of vets, RVNs and ACAs and a dedicated OOH team at the main hospital. We also have 9 branches in the surrounding area. We have an amazing team of nursing staff including ACA’s, SVN’s, RVN’s and Diploma/Certificate holding RVN’s. We are currently looking for another outstanding out of hours RVN to join our wonderful team.

The role

We are recruiting for a part time RVN to join our OOH team to work 2 Fridays in 3. There is the opportunity to pick up further holiday cover shifts if wanted. This will be working in our Busy 1st opinion and referral hospital taking care of inpatients, dealing with OOH calls, triage of patients, assisting in theatre, maintaining high levels of infection control, this list is not exhaustive.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have amazing in-patient care skills, good anaesthesia experience and knowledge and a passion for providing emergency care to a varied case load.

Shifts

2 Fridays every 3 weeks

Part Time Animal Care Auxiliary – Maple Branch Penketh

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work across our Maple branches in Penketh and Grappenhall, Warrington. The role will be focused on client care and assisting the Veterinary Surgeon or RVN with duties including restraint of patients, inpatient care and laboratory tests. They will be responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness, all reception duties, insurance forms, weekly debtors lists, amongst other tasks. The right candidate will be responsible for opening and closing of the branch and communicating with the teams at our main hospital. Weekend shifts will be covered at our Main Hospital in St Helens

Branch

This is a branch surgery position that has a varied caseload and benefits from the support of the main hospital in St Helens , there will be the need to be flexible and work at any of our other practices in needed.

Hours

Monday – 10:30am-6:30pm

Tuesday – 10:30am-6:30pm

Friday – alternate 8:30am-4:30pm or 10:30am-6:30pm

Weekends will be 2 full weekends in 4 (Saturday and Sunday, covering shifts 7am-3pm, 8:30am-4:30pm or 10:30am-6:30pm) based at our 24hour hospital in St Helens

Bank holidays will be on a rota basis, minimum of 1 per year, based at our main hospital in St Helens

Cover at other surgeries may be required but is not routine.

Candidate

The right candidate will have a passion for delivering high standards of care to our clients and their pets. Must have a full drivers licence and be able to work as part of both a large and small team.

The right candidate will be responsible for opening and closing of the branch and communicating with the teams at our nearby Penketh branch and the main hospital. Weekend shifts will be covered at our other maple branches (Penketh and Grappenhall)

Branch

This is a small branch surgery with potential for growth, based in Halton View, Widnes. It has the support of a larger branch surgery (Penketh) a few miles away and the main 24hr hospital in St Helens.

Hours

Monday – 8:30am-6:30pm

Wednesday – 1pm-6:30pm

Friday – 8:30am-6:30pm

Weekends will be 2 Saturday mornings in 4 8:30am-1:30pm based at our Grappenhall and Penketh sites

Bank holidays will be on a rota basis, minimum of 1 per year, based at our main hospital in St Helens

Cover at other surgeries may also be required some  flexibility is needed.
